Estoril - Saturday

Philipp Öttl's Race 1 started with a strong pace. The German driver held his position in the opening laps, studying his opponents, before moving up to fourth place thanks to two excellent passes on lap five. Shortly thereafter, he dropped a position, but in the middle of the race he remained firmly in the leading group, repeatedly attempting to attack the rider ahead of him.

On lap 12, on the straight, he made the most of his slipstream and completed the overtaking move that earned him fourth place again. In the final laps, he consolidated his position with a consistent pace and crossed the finish line in fourth place, thus closing out the first race of the weekend.

“The first race of the Estoril round is over, another P4, so that's three P4s in a row. Not bad! We're close, really close to the podium, and we'll try again tomorrow. We still have room for improvement, let's see what we can do. I'm optimistic”.
