Round Balaton - Sunday

At 3.15pm today the lights went out on the Balaton track to give the start to Race 2 of the Supersport World Championship.

A complicated start for Philipp Öttl: during the first lap, to avoid contact at Turn 1, he was forced to widen his line and drop back to 25th place. He quickly recovered five positions, but on the third lap he was notified of a penalty for jumping the start. Philipp decided to immediately serve the two long-lap penalties and returned to 25th place. In the following laps, he climbed back up to 20th place, but on lap nine he retired, ending his race early.

After this round, the championship will pause for over a month. This is an excellent opportunity to recharge and prepare for the final part of the season, where maximizing every result will be crucial.
